In a move poised to redefine the landscape of residential real estate, Chris Kelly, a figure widely recognized for his strategic acumen and comprehensive understanding of the sector, has been appointed President & CEO of HomeServices of America. This strategic elevation places Kelly at
the helm of an enterprise that, through its extensive operating companies and the expansive Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise network, stands as the nation’s preeminent provider of homeownership services.

Mr. Kelly’s career trajectory underscores a multifaceted expertise uniquely suited to this pivotal role. Commencing his professional journey as a real estate and finance attorney, he cultivated a foundational understanding of the legal and financial intricacies underpinning the industry. His tenure with HomeServices began in 2007 as General Counsel for its Kansas City-based subsidiary, ReeceNichols. Since then, he has systematically advanced through a series of senior leadership positions, notably serving as President and CEO of the esteemed Ebby Halliday Companies in North Texas, where he demonstrated a profound capacity for leadership and operational excellence.

Mr. Kelly assumes leadership during a period characterized by significant evolution within the residential real estate industry. Yet, he expresses clear confidence that HomeServices’ distinctive ability to offer an integrated suite of services positions it optimally as the leading full-service real estate organization. This comprehensive offering includes brokerage services, mortgage and title solutions, property and casualty insurance, home warranties, and an array of supplementary homeownership services.

“Through every step of the real estate transaction, buyers and sellers are dealing with the same ‘family’ of companies and individuals,” Mr. Kelly stated, emphasizing the inherent synergy of their model. “Our agents are equipped with a range of service options no other brokerage can offer their clients.”

This commitment to an integrated service framework has demonstrably translated into market leadership. HomeServices once again secured the top position in the 2025 RealTrends Verified ranking as the nation’s foremost brokerage in core services transactions. RealTrends, a respected authority in real estate benchmarking, reported HomeServices facilitated over 136,000 core services transactions to achieve this distinction.

“Ultimately, the real estate transaction is one of the most emotional and exciting times for a buyer or seller, but it is also incredibly complex,” Mr. Kelly added. “We have no doubts that our full-suite scope of services, coupled with our outstanding real estate professionals, is shaping the future of real estate.”

Under Mr. Kelly’s stewardship, HomeServices of America appears poised not merely to adapt to the evolving real estate landscape but to actively define its future direction, prioritizing comprehensive service and professional excellence.
