Old World meets new in the elegant Mr. C Beverly Hills hotel.

Set amid a backdrop of the historic Hollywood sign and blocks from the chic shops on Rodeo Drive, the essence of Hollywood’s Golden Age is alive and well at Mr. C Beverly Hills. One can almost picture Bette Davis hard stepping across the lobby bar, posting up alongside the baby grand piano, and sipping a dry martini.

And because Mr. C is part of the vast Cipriani empire, the property also embodies a distinctly European vibe. Its guestrooms are a modern version of Old-World simplicity and stylish Italian glamour. Every room boasts a balcony with significant iconic views that provide guests with comfortable, elegant, and effortless living that blends contemporary amenities with discreet, personalized service.

Built in 1965, the iconic building underwent an extensive renovation debuting 138 spacious guest rooms, including 12 suites with enviable vistas. Chic black and white photographs by photojournalist Giuseppe Palmas, known for shooting Italian celebrities in the 1950s and 60’s, can be found throughout the hotel and are special to each guestroom. With five newly constructed and fully furnished modern residences, the abodes blend contemporary architecture with elegant, minimalistic design. The expansive residences range in size and are available for extended-stay experiences. Mr. C Beverly Hills offers a 4,500-square-foot luxury pool area, The Yacht Club Pool, that features teak decking with poolside bar and dining options and pool attendant service. With cabanas including privacy curtains, HDTVs, and a personal refreshment center, the pool area also shares day beds, plush Sutherland lounge sofas, and teak banquettes, and the specialty pool menu features seasonal bites and refreshing cocktails.

And it wouldn’t be a Cipriani venture without a classic Italian restaurant. Simply titled The Restaurant at Mr. C, the kitchen presents inventive yet traditional Italian cuisine. Timeless favorites include a selection of grilled specialties, house-made pastas, savory pizzas, and risotto, as well as traditional Cipriani dishes like the signature Carpaccio and Baked Tagliolini.Guests enjoy cocktails such as the originalBellini— said to have been invented by Giuseppe Cipriani in 1948, using the abundant white peaches that grow in Italy — and newcomers like the refreshingMandarin-based Mr. C.

Recently recognized as one of the top hotels in L.A. by U.S. News & World Report and a recipient of Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award, Mr. C Beverly Hills strikes a considerate balance between comfort and luxury while encompassing authentic Beverly Hills décor, a landmark building, innovative Italian cuisine, and modern amenities for an experience that personifies dolce vita.
