In its perpetual quest for beauty, Lalique, a French luxury glassmaker founded 136 years ago by renowned artist and jeweler René Lalique, reaffirms its audacious nature by presenting its latest crystal collection in a dreamlike and surprising multi-dimensional Rose Nebula, a shade of pink unlike any other. An assemblage of ancient vestiges, priestesses of Bacchus, panthers, and enchanting birds, the summer collection bewitches with its whimsy and blushing hue, expertly enshrining some of Lalique’s most celebrated objects. To achieve this exquisite shade, each piece is subtly misted with a spray concoction of air and the Rose Nebula luster, composed partly of yellow gold. The object is then hardened at a high temperature, which activates the gold particles under the watchful eye of Lalique’s master glassmakers. The resulting shade is unique to each model and piece. Chock full of iconic pieces the emblematic Mossi vase, created originally in 1933, is one of the collection’s standouts. With hypnotic rows of shiny cabochons crafted in the Rose Nebula cosmic cloud, the vessel’s kaleidoscopic effect takes on a surprising new dimension, blurring the lines between tradition and innovation with panache.
