CANNES I KICK IT

In honor of the Cannes Yachting Festival, Jorge L. Camaraza, director of sales and marketing for MarineMax Yachts Miami, gives us an insider’s look at the maritime epicenter of the French Riviera.

DINE

A quick boat ride from Cannes to La Guérite puts you on a beautiful island with exceptionally good food and drink. Nestled on the rocky cove of Sainte-
Marguerite Island that faces Cannes, La Guérite features unforgettable scenery. Since the beginning of last century, its worldwide clientele has been seduced by the restaurant’s charm, authenticity, and cuisine, which is both Mediterranean and healthy.

STAY

Hotel Majestic Barriere is, hands down, one of Cannes most legendary places to stay. The panoramic views of the Mediterranean are breathtaking. The Prestige Seaview Terrace Suite, in particular, offers a beautiful terrace with a plunging view of the sea and the bay of Cannes. With its spacious bedroom, large and comfortable living room, and sumptuous bathroom, it’s the key to an exceptional experience during the show. You’ll feel like you own your own pied-à-terre on the Croisette at Hotel Le Majestic.

If you are in the market for a boat, Azimut is debuting two new models at the Cannes Yachting Festival this September. The Grande 26M and the Grande 36M are build on the success of Azimut’s existing Grande line with some exciting new design integrations. Be sure to stop by to check them out at the Vieux Port.

LOUNGE

Located in the heart of the Port Canto overlooking the Bay of Cannes, Bâoli is an emblematic venue on the French Riviera. The rooftop bar, Cloud 9, is a heavenly open-air place in the shade of palm trees. This unique restaurant, bar, and club offers magical décor and promises to be your best bet for a perfect day out and one-of-a-kind cocktails.

SEE

Currently under renovation, Medusa, which reopens next spring, is the place to be if you’re looking for an A-list experience. It’s one of the best shows I’ve ever seen with amazing costumes, music, and performances. Medusa matches the glorious vibe of the Cannes’ Pointe Croisette seaside district. The building is designed like a castle decorated with palm trees, fairy lights, and a red carpet. In contrast, the interior feels sophisticated and colorful thanks to the combination of the lighting with the furniture. Medusa plays a broad spectrum of music, including R&B, house, and live music performances, attracting elite local and international guests. It also features burlesque dancers that will keep you entertained all night long.
