A mom to a 7-year-old and the host of her eponymous show on MSNBC and Peacock, Katie Phang wears many hats. Keeping up with her hectic schedule that includes TV hosting, podcast recording, and legal contributing ain’t for the weary.
6am
I make breakfast for my daughter, Charlotte. To start my own day, I make myself a latte with oat milk. I also take my soon-to-be 15-year-old miniature schnauzer, Lola, out for a walk.
7am
I shower and I normally dress down because when I get to the Telemundo studio I put on the clothes for my TV show I also drop my daughter off at camp or school.
9am
I make it to Telemundo and the first thing I do every day is get a ginger shot. They actually have an awesome juice bar, which is great. I also get another coffee; a café con leche to be exact, because nothing beats Cuban coffee.
2pm
I’m back with the team to do a post show debrief to figure out what we liked, what we didn’t like, and what we could improve on. We are also planning for the rest of the shows. After, I narrate the “Class Action” podcast on iHeartMedia.
4pm
I pick up my daughter from camp or school. This is the most rewarding part of my day because it’s a really nice time to talk and catch up with her that I otherwise wouldn’t get.
6pm
On weekdays, if i can, I go to Pilates or the gym for an hour.
8pm
I have dinner and that’s usually something really simple like arugula with squeezed lemon, Parmesan, and a glass of rosé. I will totally splurge and let myself
have a glass of rosé.
