Lunar travel is trending at these hotels.

Full moon parties may have once been synonymous with rowdy fêtes on Thailand’s beaches, but now there are new opportunities to observe the event that occurs every 29 days. From full moon yoga and soul-healing sound baths to barefoot dining under the lunar glow, the moon-centric programming at these hotels offers a refreshing way to honor the orb of night.

ARUBA MARRIOTT RESORT & STELLARIS CASINO

This spring, the beach-side Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino introduced its “Dine Under the Glow of the Full Moon” program to align with the trend of astro-tourism. The dinner experience embraces barefoot luxury, inviting guests to dine with their toes in the sand of Palm Beach. Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a crystal bar where they can select the crystal that resonates with their soul (the resort chose this practice as full moons are known to charge crystals in preparation for a new beginning ).   This is followed by a five-course dinner around a communal table with pillow seating, a local artist strumming celestial-inspired music, and a mood ring parting gift.

CARILLON MIAMI WELLNESS RESORT

This Miami Beach property began hosting “An Evening Under The Full Moon” to provide its community with a unique opportunity to harness the energy of the moon and set intentions for the month ahead. “Miami is known for its diverse cultural influences and scenic beauty, making it the perfect backdrop for wellness experiences that blend relaxation with excitement,” according to the property’s site. The full-moon program is a curated two-hour experience where guests are encouraged to set intentions while enjoying live music and specialty cocktails featuring a different liquor each month. Past sponsors have included Don Q Rum and Herradura. Though the general concept of the monthly gathering will remain the same, future events may incorporate unique experiences synced to the time of year to ensure a fresh approach.

THE TRYALL CLUB

This Montego Bay property may have opened in I959, but it just debuted its new spa this past January. The Spa at Tryall now offers full moon yoga – focused on a rejuvenating flow that replaces static energy with new, invigorating vibes to match the power of the moon’s prana, or life force energy. The yoga instruction is followed by a sound meditation to reinforce the mental and emotional connection. According to the website, “Combined, they set the stage for a transformative experience with a powerful relaxation at the end that everyone can benefit from.”

1 HOTEL SOUTH BEACH

A collaborative effort between I Hotel and Kanekshun, a Miami-based meditation, sound healing, and movement studio, “Full Moon Sound & Social” is an event developed around reflection and release. The workshops align with the respective month’s moon. For example, May’s Flower Moon invites a time to plant seeds for the future, which is considered a peak in the spring season. The theme will adjust slightly for June’s Strawberry Moon, and July’s Buck Moon. The agenda for each remains the same. It begins on the Ocean Terrace for a sunset meditation and breath-work, followed by an immersive sound bath, mindful movement, a take-home mantra card, and individual essential oil before ending the evening with a distinctly crafted moon elixir.
