MIAMI HAS NEVER MET A WELLNESS TREND IT DIDN’T LIKE. BUT PUPPY YOGA CLUB, THE INCREASINGLY VIRAL CONCEPT CREATED BY RYAN ROCCHI, FEELS DIFFERENT.
BY CHIARA ELBAZ
Beneath the selfies and social-media frenzy lies something people seem genuinely starved for: uncomplicated joy. Here, Rocchi shares a few thoughts on mood, modern stress, digital overload, and why puppies may be the ultimate yoga companions.
DIGITAL DETOX
We’re all so connected online that we’ve forgotten how important real-world experiences are. The puppies create spontaneous moments where people naturally engage with one another. That sense of community is something many people are missing.
INSTANT JOY
In today’s world, people spend so much time behind screens that they’re desperate for experiences that feel real. People come in expecting a workout, but they usually leave feeling emotionally lighter and more connected. The puppies break down barriers almost instantly.
MOOD SHIFT
People walk in stressed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Then they spend an hour moving, laughing, and interacting with puppies, and suddenly their mood shifts. They feel calmer, more open, more present.
SOCIAL THERAPY
At the end of the day, it’s about creating positive experiences that stay with you after the class ends. We want people to disconnect from stress and reconnect with themselves and with other people.
