Pretty Special
Known for sterling silver and solid gold signature pieces tied to marine conservation, Vargas Goteo jewelry continues to bridge style and cause with the new Galapagos Collection supporting the non-profit organization Re:wild. Founded by Leonardo DiCaprio together with a group of renowned conservation scientists, Re:wild works to protect and restore the wild through nature-based solutions and innovative collaborations. In its support, the Vargas Goteo collection, created by designer Alex Prijic Smith, features critters, ancient beasts, and landscapes as it celebrates nature’s bounty. With eye-catching details, textures that beg to be touched, and pieces inspired by the species endemic to this archipelago, Vargas Goteo combines thought- provoking design with ethical and social responsibility. Established in 2010 by Prijic Smith, whose summers in Florida continue to inspire her creativity, Vargas Goteo jewelry conveys awareness for the natural world and plays a part in making a difference. Responsibly and meticulously crafted in Montreal, all pieces are made in-house by a team of traditionally skilled craftspeople. Each collection raises awareness and contributes directly to carefully selected ocean and wildlife organizations.
FAT CITY
1950’s nostalgia is having a Miami moment, and local food and design lovers can’t get enough. Joining the list of restaurants with a distinctly retro vibe, The Collins Room at the members-only club Bath House draws from the spirit of the jet-set era of the 1950s and 1960s, when Frank Sinatra and Art Deco ruled supreme and glitz and glamour were par for the course. The swanky setting is the perfect canvas for a tableside shaken martini served in vintage stemware and continental cuisine that features a seafood platter with a side of Kaluga caviar or Peking-style chicken. Top off the evening with a digestif at Governor’s Loggia while enjoying live music for an experience Sinatra would approve.

us to showcase fashion in an experiential and immersive way.” This year, swimwear enthusiasts will see the return of Australia’s Natasha Oakley and Devin Brugman, the founders of Monday Swimwear. The four-day event will be presented at PARAISO Collins Park Tent along with several satellite locations spread throughout Miami Beach.
