Oscar J. Arellano, Jr., Senior Vice President Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices EWM Realty, has called Coral Gables home in no small part because it’s the ideal place to raise his boisterous family of three plus one dog. When not busy selling one of Miami’s greatest neighborhoods, you will find Arellano with his wife and their little ones riding around in their golf cart, ready to chat up anyone about the great virtues of their beloved neighborhood.
I LOVE CORAL GABLES BECAUSE… Nestled in the heart of Miami- Dade County, Coral Gables captivates me with its unique blend of Mediterranean Revival architecture, lush greenery, and a vibrant cultural scene. The city exudes a timeless charm that makes every stroll through its streets a delightful experience.
BEST PLACE TO HOLD A MEETING HERE IS… The Biltmore Hotel. Its elegant meeting spaces, coupled with a touch of historic grandeur, provide an inspiring backdrop for productive discussions and networking. The luxurious ambiance adds a special touch to any corporate event.
I TRY TO DISCONNECT AT… The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Its serene landscapes, diverse plant life, and peaceful ambiance create a haven for relaxation and contemplation. It’s my go-to escape to find tranquility amidst nature.
MY BELOVED HISTORIC CORAL GABLES REFERENCE IS… Venetian Pool, with its historic significance and enchanting design. It holds a special place in my heart. As one of the country’s largest freshwater pools, it embodies the city’s commitment to preserving its architectural legacy. Visiting this iconic site feels like stepping back in time to experience Coral Gables’ past in a refreshing way.
FAVORITE LOCAL RESTAURANT… I’m a food enthusiast, so for an exceptional dinner experience in Coral Gables, you’ll often find me at Hillstone or Zucca. Hillstone offers a refined setting with a diverse menu featuring well-crafted dishes and a laid-back atmosphere. Zucca, on the other hand, entices with its authentic Italian flavors, creating a delightful culinary journey.
