4:15 AM Wake up, stretch, meditate, review and write down my daily tasks and priorities. This is my best way to start my day as it establishes and provides the clarity for everything I have to do.
5:30 AM Quickly review any pending designs drawn up by the team and get back to any pressing emails.
6:30 AM Play padel, tennis or go to the gym. This is what helps me keep in shape as best I can without stressing my diet too much.
8:30 AM Get back home, grab a quick breakfast, shower and get dressed for work.
9:30 AM Get to the office, finish catching up on my emails, meet with my lead designer and architect and review upcoming design deliverables, assignments, problems and solutions.
11 AM Most likely my first out-of-office meeting of the day at one of our projects with its respective contractors and/or clients.
1 PM Lunch is one of my favorite parts of the day as it becomes one of my mini breaks. Whether it’s a quick bite at Mercado next to MC kitchen before my next meeting, or a longer rewarding lunch at Fiorito. At Mercato, I usually order the chicken empanizado with a pasta salad and at Fiorito, my go-to meal is the churrasco with cilantro white rice.
2 PM Most likely another meeting at another one of our projects with its respective contractor and/or client.
4 PM Rush hour time as I get back to the office, so I typically take calls with vendors or subcontractors and touch base with them regarding any pending items, materials or pricing. If I’m all caught up, I’ll call my wife or my mother and see how their days have been.
5 PM Get back to the office to review further pending items with the team before they head out.
6 PM The real work begins, whether it’s design, reviewing the studio’s finances or putting together a proposal, this is when the phones stop ringing and I get to perform some actual work for myself.
8:30 PM Get home, walk the pups, Aria and Bentley, and either order take out or meal prep. I love catching up with my wife during this time before getting ready for bed.
10:30 PM Wine down, vegetate, typically watch Designing Miami or Supacell and go to bed.
